What a great year it has been at The Rock!  We are seeing so many youth blessed and encouraged on a weekly basis.  Our organization was started with one thing in mind: “Challenge youth to go farther than they can see”.  Four years later our goal is still the same but the organization has gone further than any of us had ever imagined.

  It’s time for our Second Annual Benefit Dinner and this year we’ve added a Silent Auction to the program. This event will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Central Gym. Our theme this year is “Hand in Hand, Passion for Pulaski”. The silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will end at 6:00 p.m. This will be a great time to enjoy fun, food (appetizers), and fellowship.  The dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m. and will be followed by our keynote speaker Bruce Deel from “The City of Refuge” in Atlanta. 

 This free dinner will be for friends, family, businesses and churches throughout the New River Valley, and you’re invited.  This will be a time of sharing our heart and vision.  At the end of the night there will be a time, if you wish to make a pledge or donation to the organization.

 Please consider being with us March 27 at 6:00 pm. (auction starts at 5:30) the dinner will be held at Central Gym in downtown Pulaski.  If possible we need for you to RSVP by Saturday, March 20.  You can call 577-2873 or email to jandk84@comcast.net.  We are grateful for the support we have already received and hope you can be a part of changing the lives of youth in this community.  Thank you for your time and God Bless!

Jesus Jam 2010 is in the books! Thanks to everyone who made this trip possible from the sponsors to you guys who sold and purchased donuts. We’ve been going to Jesus Jam for many years and believe that this one may have been the best yet. Our kids are already wanting to go back. The life’s of many of them will never be the same.

Be looking for information in the mail/emails about our 2nd annual benefit dinner coming up March 27th. Also remember Sunday March 28th, we will be having a community service at Central Gym starting at 10:30 am.

Just another reminder to all of our great supporters about our upcoming events. The first one is this Thursday, February 11 at Wendy’s in Dublin. From 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wendy’s will donate 15% of their sales to The Rock. We will also have a bake sale (we need bake good items donated) and have door prizes and giveaways throughout the night. Bring your family out for some food, fun, and good fellowship.

Mark your calendars for March 27^th and  28^th and plan on being a part of a special weekend. On Saturday March 27^th we will hold our 2^nd annual Benefit Dinner at Central gym. This year we will be doing a few things differently and hope that you can be a part of this special night. Bruce Deel will again be our keynote speaker and we are excited to have him and his family here for the whole weekend. With that in mind keep Sunday morning, March 28^th open for a special Sunday morning Community Worship service starting at 10:30 am at Central Gym with Bruce bringing the word. We are very excited to see what God is going to do this weekend. Please consider being a part of this special time. You should be receiving something in the mail in the next couple of weeks giving you all of the information for these events.

Continue praying for The Rock, as we are going deeper with our youth, and pushing them harder in their commitment to the Father. When this happens there is a great chance we could lose a few who are not ready for this type of commitment.

3rd Annual Rock Super Bowl Party

We are excited about our 4th Annual Super Bowl Party at Central gym on Super Bowl Sunday, February 7th. Last year we had over 300 people at the event and we provided free food, music, games, a Christ-centered message and a big screen! Please come out and invite your friends, family, church group etc. If you would like to help out that night please email us today! Thursday February 11th is Dinner Night at Dublin, Wendy’s. There will be a bake sale and door prizes and Wendy’s will donate 15 percent of all sales to The Rock. (All baked goods go to The Rock) If you are interested in donating baked goods for the event please also let us know soon! Please come out and support the Rock that night! We are also in the process of planning out a monthly event that will correlate with our Tuesday night Full Access. Please feel free to contact us anytime, we would love to hear from you!

Happy 2010 to everyone! It has been a great year for The Rock Youth Center and we have so much to look forward to in the next few months. With your help we recently purchased a 15-passenger van that has been immeasurably valuable! We also have the new website and a new format for our e-newsletters which will allow us to keep you informed much more efficiently and will allow everyone easier viewing and downloading. We have been consistently running 60-80 students every tuesday night and we have new plans for a monthly service at Central Gym.
